• Looooong time no C!

I cannot believe it has been almost a year since my last post! In my defence however i have very busy doing other proper grown up lady business... With a full school term under my belt i've finally found a teeny tiny bit of time to talk about the supremely gorgeous things I designed and made for Kate & Mike's wedding day that was the last stop for Chilliefish in Mike and Kates wedding stationery journey... :(

Inkeeping with the super sophisticated Parisian Chic style theme, the design elements utilised in the earlier stages of the stationery story continued into the items used on the big day itself to uphold a coordinated and unified result... The hand illustrated roses created in the main invitation were used as a delicate border on the Place Cards which were printed on the same marbled ivory board with matching fonts and colours.

Like wise with the Table Names. Based on famous landmarks within the French capital, Kate opted to frame them with a clean crisp white frame that contrasted with the warm ivory and craft board materials used. This set them off perfectly and coordinated with the flawless white linen that dressed the tables.

Each one was also embellished with a silky dusky mauve ribbon and lace overlay which added another level of decadence and luxury to the meticulous details on every table.

This design was also echoed in the execution of the Table Plan with the addition of a gorgeous printed paper background - which was the same paper used to line the envelopes of the main invites. Ooooohhh weren't we clever!!??

Just see for yourselves in the images how breathtakingly beautiful the dressed venue looked... (Just for the record Kate looked just as breathtaking...!)

With another 6 months of my Teacher Training to tackle and a million things to do I'm off for now and I'll try not to leave it so long next time!!

    Toodlepip!
